Air France – Charles De Gaulle Business Class Lounge
Air France is the French flag carrier airline and a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance. Their global hub is based at the Charles De Gaulle airport north of Paris, where they offer an amazing, newly renovated lounge for business and Flying Blue Elite Plus members.
Here’s a quick guide to everything the CDG Air France Business Lounge has to offer business travellers:
Location: Hall L at Terminal 2
Wellness Area
Over a quarter of the 2,200 square meter lounge is devoted to your well-being. This area features a complimentary 20 minute Clarins facial and spa amenities, 2 private saunas, luxury showers and a ‘relaxation zone’ with lounge chairs and mini sleep suites to allow you to relax and refresh in peace. If that’s not enough, there’s also a detox bar featuring healthy juices, snacks, and calming herbal teas to keep your energy high on the road.
Food & Drink
A modern Parisian brasserie vibe fills the kitchen area, although it is set up traditionally buffet-style with a communal table for guests. There is also an open hot kitchen with daily specials to enjoy, like braised duck with cauliflower au gratin. Everything from salad, fruit, cheese, and amazing French desserts are up for grabs.
There is also a self serve liquor selection and the customary wine, beer, and soft drink self-serve area, which features a beautiful selection of champagnes from Paolo Basso, worlds best sommelier 2013.
Entertainment
There is something for everyone here, including several flat screen TVs, any international newspaper imaginable, and even Sony PlayStation PSVITA stations for the kids. Of course, complimentary strong Wifi is available for your own entertainment devices as well.
The Unique Spaces
“Le Club” – the private area with a warm atmosphere to spend time alone or with others
“Le Petit Salon” – a completely quiet zone where smartphones are silences and tranquillity awaits
“At Your Service” area – where Air France staff assist you with reserving showers and saunas, and help with flight arrangements
“Air France Shopping” zone – a showcase of unique Air-France branded objects.
The first phase of the renovation was completed in January 2018, with phase 2 expected this July. Phase 2 will feature a surprise creation (reportedly a bar) by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur.
