China Eastern Airlines Corporation is a major Chinese airline with a hub located at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA). Founded in 1988, It is a member of the Skyteam global alliance.
The airline promises ‘world-class hospitality with Eastern charm’ to its nearly 80 million travelers annually and ranks among the top five airlines in the world in terms of transportation volume. They have strong presence on routes to Asia, North America, and Australia.
• China Eastern Airlines was the first Chinese airline to place an order for an Airbus and is currently the second largest Airbus operator in the world after American Airlines.
Eastern Miles is the miles and points based reward program for China Eastern Airlines. They have a points transfer partner with SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) which has recently merged with Marriott Rewards and as of August 2018 will become one unified program.

• 30% bonus points on flights
• On China Eastern flights: Guaranteed reservation 48 hours in advance
• Check-in at the first class counter
• Excess baggage allowance of 40 kg on domestic flights and 20 kg on international; first class lounge access
• On SkyTeam member flights: Guaranteed reservation on international flights; 20 kg excess baggage allowance; lounge access for member and one companion; 30% bonus points on flights
China Eastern Airlines offers codesharing with 26 airlines both inside and outside the Skyteam Alliance. Look for the (CEA) code designation.
