Mandarin Oriental Singapore

Set in the heart of Marina Bay, the fan-shaped Mandarin Oriental Singapore is perfect for both business and leisure travellers. With the hotel being located opposite the Esplanade and close to the central business district, the Mandarin Oriental Singapore offers great links to the major landmarks and luxury shopping. It is also a mere 20-minute drive from Singapore’s Changi International Airport.

Rooms

The Mandarin Oriental Singapore’s signature style is a combination of contemporary with an Oriental infusion. I was able to view the Ocean Grand Room which is one of the most spacious rooms offered by the hotel. You can enjoy taking in the fresh air outside on your own private balcony or if the humidity is too high, you can lounge on the sofa inside with the air-conditioning on.

All the rooms at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore feature gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing views of the city skyline, ocean or Marina Bay. For every room category, there is a desk and seating area provided as well as a bath and walk-in shower.

The rooms at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore range from the leading room which is the Ocean View Room to the Ocean Grand Room. You also have the suites which range from a City Suite which features a master bedroom, living area, powder room and city view, right the way up to the most luxurious suite which is the Mandarin Suite which is a two-bed suite with two balconies, a dining area, kitchen, living room and personal butler service.

Oriental Club

The Oriental Club Lounge is located on the 19th floor and is the perfect retreat for business and leisure travellers. It is definitely worth the upgrade to a club level room. In the Oriental Club Lounge you can enjoy a Champagne breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Being a club guest also enables you to take advantage of other benefits such as complimentary pressing of two garments per day, high speed internet access, private check-in and check-out and use of the meeting room with teleconferencing facilities for up to two hours per day.

There are many dining experiences at the Mandarin Oriental Singapore. You can treat your taste buds to an abundance of flavours from the speciality restaurants. Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine from Dolce Vita, Cantonese cuisine from Cherry Garden, the international buffet at Melt Café, a classic American steakhouse experience from Morton’s and contemporary Japanese cuisine from Teppan-Ya. There are also two lounges where you can relax and take in your surroundings, Bay@5 which is the poolside lounge with views of Marina Bay and Axis Bar and Lounge where you can sip on cocktails or treat yourself to some amazing afternoon tea.
