Hainan Airlines introduces its second flight to the United Kingdom

Set to continue its global expansion, Hainan Airlines introduces a brand new flight to its network. As of 23 March 2018, the airline launched its direct flight from Changsha to London Heathrow.

March has been an exciting month for Hainan Airlines. Not only have they launched their second flight to the United Kingdom, but they are also launching the following new routes; Shenzhen to Brussels, Beijing to Tijuana to Mexico, Shenzhen to Madrid and now Changsha to London Heathrow.

The new flight to London Heathrow follows on from Hainan Airlines first United Kingdom flight, connecting Beijing to Manchester. Both routes are flown on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The new route will connect Changsha to London Heathrow three times a week; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights depart Changsha in the morning to arrive into Heathrow the same afternoon. While on the return, flights leave Heathrow late afternoon and arrive into Changsha the following afternoon.

Hainan Airlines Dreamliner

The Dreamliner consists of two classes, Business and Economy. Business class features 36 fully flat seats, set in a 2-2-2 configuration. Economy class has 177 seats, set in a 3-3-3 configuration.

Hainan Airlines Business Class seats are spacious and comfortable. The lie-flat seats recline to 180 degrees allowing passengers to sleep comfortably on those long-haul flights. Business class passengers are treated to delicious in-flight meals infused with Chinese flavours, complimented by a range of international alcoholic drinks. Passengers can feel refreshed with a luxurious Bvlgari Amenity Kit. To enhance video and audio experience, passengers also receive BOSE noise-cancelling earphones.

Over the past few years Hainan Airlines has dramatically expanded its long-haul network, with the focus being on connecting international destinations to its four hubs across China.
