Alken Asset Management had previously worked with several travel management companies. However their relationships with them had soured due to inconsistencies in both pricing and service levels.

Our first task was to understand Alken and exactly what they were expecting from the company tasked with handling their travel arrangements. Working with them we were able to understand that Alken were looking for a company that they can trust. They found they were sending the travel quotations to their multiple agents and either waiting for a response for hours or not even receiving a response at all. As an extremely busy investment company, the staff of Alken Asset Management didn’t have the time to wait for responses from their previous travel companies. They also found themselves double-checking the results.

Following our meeting, Your Travel Corporate set about building our relationship with Alken and in turn gaining their trust. Upon the first reservation, we saved Alken hundreds of pounds on what their agents were able to produce. We offered Alken a saving of over £1,500 on a Business Class ticket. In the same instance, we upgraded the ticket to First Class without additional cost. Our relationship with Alken Asset Management has since gone from strength to strength. Providing them with passenger profiles for their regular travellers helps to streamline the booking process.

The Issue

The Accounts department were finding many transaction discrepancies when not using a centralised agent. There was an inconsistent level of service received from each agent, with no escalated point of contact.

Travel Polices were not being adhered to when booking independently across several sites and agents, causing financial strain at times.

The Resolution

As a team of 10, we work very closely with each other to minimise the risk of a delay in relaying documentation over to the appropriate departments. To ensure speed and efficiency, John oversees this.

Your Travel Corporate actively monitor the Travel Policy for each quotation and booking, raising any scenarios in which an allowance may be required.

Creative Resins has been at the forefront of decorative glass technology for over 30 years. When Louise contacted us to help with a trip to Oman, we discovered that the company had been using an airline’s website to book direct, paying in excess of £5,000 per trip in Business Class. This created a stress-free booking system that took budget and organisational pressure from the senior management, knowing they would always be working with a cost-effective travel budget. This lead to a reduced travel spend of just over 16% without cost-cutting and maintaining a high level of service.
