Etihad Airways First Class Lounge – Abu Dhabi

Only very recently opened (2016) the Etihad Airways First Class Lounge in Abu Dhabi is as lavish and full of grandeur as an airport lounge can get. Etihad explained this with the phrase ‘a reimagined lounge experience’. The world’s most elite travellers were the main focus for the design of the lounge. Boasting a tasting menu designed by the chefs from the gilded Emirates Palace Hotel and featuring dishes curated by a former Shangri La and Ritz Carlton Head Chef it’s clear that Etihad are taking the dining element of their lounge very seriously. Feedback from their most frequent flyers has brought about the inclusion of a fitness room and a Six Senses Spa.

However, the ‘show-stopper’ element of their lounge is without doubt The Residence. With its own permanent butler, this facility features a vast lounge area, prayer room, library, marble bathroom and shower room and a beautiful dining area offering a completely bespoke menu.

The British Airways Concorde Room located at Terminal 5 is one of the most established airport lounges. Exclusively available to only First Class passengers or frequent fliers with 5,000 plus tier points per year. Inspired by 5-star boutique hotels, the lounge offers a calm and inviting space for first class travellers. Only the finest Italian furnishings and beautiful chandeliers decorate the lounge.
