Developed by luxury property developer Jonathan Hallinan of BPM Corp, the Shadow Play by Peppers hotel has now officially opened. The 46 story hotel resides in Melbourne’s thriving Southbank district. It’s location makes it perfect for business travellers, with the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition centre less than a ten minute walk away. For international travellers, the airport is a short 25 minute cab ride from the hotel.

Rooms

Shadow Play by Peppers is an aparthotel, ideal for travellers who like a home from home and plenty of amenities. Room options include single bedroom, two bedroom, two bedroom two bathroom and two bed corner rooms.

All rooms feature floor to ceiling windows. Therefore, you can expect plenty of light and potentially, some views. Two bed rooms offer balconies, perfect for city watching with a morning coffee. All rooms are fully furnished with living and kitchen areas. Not only could you expect full sized fridges, cooktops, microwaves and dishwashers, but full laundry facilities in room, including washer, dryer, irons and ironing boards. Air conditioning features throughout.

Dining

Shadow Play by Peppers boasts the well-reviewed Edwin Wine Bar & Cellar. It is positioned to be one of Melbourne’s finest food and wine experiences, with a focus on locally sourced produce and an extensive drinks list with a ‘distinct Victorian flavour’. The attentive and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to help pair your dish with the most exquisite wine.

Reservations are available from 6.30am midweek for breakfast (7.30am at weekends). Dinner service and bar finish at 10pm. Room service is available 24 hours.

Features

Most of the features at Shadow Play by Peppers are on the 9th floor. Firstly, a fully equipped gym, sauna and steam room. Secondly, there is a lounge and library with photocopying facilities, and an outdoor terrace with BBQ. Thirdly, and perhaps most impressive, is the outdoor heated pool, also on the 9th floor. As you can see, plenty of options outside of your room to keep you occupied, refreshed, relaxed or worked out!

Other facilities include private dining rooms and a fully enclosed garden on the 46th floor. Valet parking is available, as well as child minding.
